The Tuloriad - eARC
by John Ringo and Tom Kratman

The Enemy of My Enemy . . .

Of the once innumerable battle clans of the Posleen only a handful survive. And that on the sufferance of a group of despised Indowy and Himmit. Plucked from the maelstrom on Earth they are cast out into the eternal blackness of the stars with only a slighltly insane Indowy and a computer virus to guide them.

What follows is a trail of tears and remembrance as the Posleen retrace the footsteps of their ancestors in a search for their homeworld. A search to determine if the Posleen posess the one thing no Human would give them credit for: A soul.

Returned to their beginnings, the question remains: Is there a new path for the Tular Posleen?

About the Authors:
John Ringo
is author of New York Times best-selling Posleen War series which so far includes A Hymn Before Battle, Gust Front, When the Devil Dances, and Hell's Faire, as well as the connected novels Cally's War, Sister Time and Honor of the Clan (with Julie Cochrane), The Hero (with Michael Z Williamson), and Watch on the Rhine and Yellow Eyes (with Tom Kratman), and is the hottest new science fiction writer since David Weber. A veteran of the 82nd Airborne, Ringo brings first-hand knowledge of military operations to his novels of high-tech future war.

Tom Kratman, in 1974 at age seventeen, became a political refugee and defector from the PRM (People's Republic of Massachusetts) by virtue of joining the Regular Army. He stayed a Regular Army infantryman most of his adult life, returning to Massachusetts as an unofficial dissident while attending Boston College after his first hitch. Baen published his first novel, A State of Disobedience and his previous collaborations with John Ringo, Watch on the Rhine and Yellow Eyes.

Sorry John but I'm not into the Posleen stories. But I am hopping that you do add more to your Paladin of Shadows series! Now I consider that your greatest works so far! Thank you, ChrisW

The ARC was a bit rough in places and I suspect parts will be expanded in the finished product, but it was still a great read. Ringo is back in top form. Bravo.

Good fill in on how the Posleen came to be. It had some religious views but not offencsive and hey if you dont like dont read it. The action was good and I have to confess I have always wanted to see the swiss guard in action.

Why great: Except for (I think) the first Posleen book and one other (the one 1000 years in the future) I haven't read nor wanted to read the Posleen books (in part because of the attitudes of the authors that come through...). However the description of this book sounded interesting, I read the sample Webscription chapters and then felt compelled to buy the ARC and finish the book. So my very strong compliments to the authors!

Pretty good addition to the series. Wish I had stopped at the end of the last chapter instead of going on to read the afterword portion. The afterword was some kind of disjointed anti-humanistic ranting diatribe better suited to a right-wing blog than as an addition to a well told story. Cost them a star.
