Cherie Priest was born in Tampa, Florida, down the street from the stadium in 1975. In 2002 she graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with an M.A. in Rhetoric/Professional writing, and she also has a B.A. from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN. She uses her college diploma as a mouse pad.
In March of 2006 she married her long-time significant other, Aric—and together with their fat black cat named Spain, they moved to Seattle shortly after the wedding.
